Steering group to scope a new network for BAME information professionals

CILIP is launching a new Network for Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) library and information professionals later this year and we are currently setting up a Steering Group to scope this Network. The Steering Group will be chaired by CILIP Trustee Shirley Yearwood-Jackman. You’ll find its Terms of Reference here.

If you wish to be considered for the Steering Group we invite you to complete a short application form giving details of the knowledge and experience you could bring to it, the level you currently work at, and the sector/s you have worked in. This is to ensure the Group is made up of people from different sectors, working at different levels. The deadline for applications is 5pm on March 20th 2019.

The Steering Group’s first meeting will be at CILIP HQ in early April (date TBC), and CILIP will reimburse reasonable travel expenses.

Please contact Yvonne Morris, CILIP’s Policy Manager, at yvonne.morris@cilip.org.uk if you have any questions. Completed forms should also be emailed to Yvonne.
